DEATH OF THE REV. PREB. CORFIELD.

Many in Taunton, particularly members of St. Mary's congregation, have learnt with regret of the death of the Rev. Preb. CORFIELD, late Vicar of the parish, which occurred at his home, High House, Wokingham, on Thursday morning. It was only about two months since Preb. CORFIELD left Taunton to take up his residence at Wokingham, where it was hoped he would regain some of his lost health, and enjoy a few years of retirement after his long and active service in the Church. In his 59th year, he was at Taunton from 1912 to the end of last year. It will be remembered that Preb. CORFIELD opened the Church Bazaar at Street about 18 months ago. The Rev. H. S. URCH was one of his curates at Taunton, and Preb. CORFIELD officiated at the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. URCH. The funeral took place on Monday at Wokingham, and a memorial service was held simultaneously at St. Mary's, Taunton.
