Mr. P. D. CREED, West Pennard
The funeral took place on Thursday last of Mr. Percy Douglas Cary CREED, who died at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton aged 66. Cremation at Bath was followed by a service at Pilton Church at which the Rev J. WALKER officiated. The ashes were buried in the family grave at Pilton.
Mr. CREED farmed at Pennard Hill, West Pennard. He was born there, the third son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ethelbert CREED, and had lived there all his life.
A bachelor, Mr. CREED had been working at the farm since 1948 when he took over from his father.
Family mourners were: George CREED (brother); Roy CREED (brother); George CREED (cousin); Cyril CREED (cousin) also wife; Jack SWANTON (second cousin); Mr. J. WILLS (friend).
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson CREED and family were unable to attend.
