E. VARDY, of the Post-office, Misterton. The wedding was very largely attended by relatives and friends. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a costume of cream cloth, trimmed with silk and lace with hat to match. She also wore a gold watch guard and carried a bouquet, the gifts of the bridegroom. The four bridesmaids included Misses Gladys and Ella VARDY (sisters of the bride), who wore delaine dresses and cream crinoline hats trimmed with ribbon and shaded roses to match, and wore silver hat pins, the gift of the bridegroom, and Miss Hilda VARDY (niece of the bride) and Miss Edith ROWSELL (niece of the bridegroom), who wore white silk liberty dresses trimmed with lace and silk hats to match. They carried baskets of flowers and wore pearl necklaces, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. Harold VAUX (brother of the bridegroom) acted as “best man.” The ceremony was conducted by Mr. M. CROSS. A reception was afterwards held at the bride's parents' residence. The presents, which numbered over 100, included a silver teapot from the members of the Crewkerne Gospel Hall Missionary Sewing Class; a silver coffee pot from the teachers and Bible Class; a pair of silver salts and spoons from her Sunday School class; a handsome pair of pictures from the employees at the Misterton baker; and a handsome hand-painted trinket set from the employees at the Park Steam Bakery, Barking. The happy pair left by the afternoon train for Bournemouth for the honeymoon.
