KINGSBURY EPISCOPI.
“1914-15 STAR.” - Private Percy TREBLECOCK,of the 1st Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, has received his “1914-15 Star.” Private TREBLECOCK joined up about 12 years previous to the outbreak of war in the Royal Marines. He was one of the first to volunteer at the commencement of the Great War. He saw much service in France and was present at the second battle of Ypres.
WEDDING. - A quiet wedding was solemnised at the Wesleyan Chapel, Kingsbury Episcopi, on Wednesday of last week. The contracting parties were Mr. Frederick John MALE, only son of Mr. Job MALE, of Newtown, Kingsbury Episcopi, and Miss Christina FURBER, elder daughter of Mr. Henry FURBER, of Kingsbury Episcopi. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. BALCH, of South Petherton. The bride was given away by her father and was married in her travelling costume of navy serge. Mr. R. P. SATHERLEY, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, acted as best man. The three bridesmaids, Miss Eva FURBER, sister of the bride, and the Misses Kate and Bessie MALE, sisters of the bridegroom, wore dresses of navy serge with hats to match. After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride's home. Later the happy pair motored to Yeovil en route for Weymouth, where the honeymoon is being spent. Mr. and Mrs. MALE were the recipients of a large number of useful and handsome presents.
