FIVEHEAD.

FUNERAL. - The funeral of Mr. G. ADAMS, whose death we announced in last week's issue, took place amid every manifestation of respect on Monday. The first part of the service at the Baptist Church was conducted by the Rev. S. R. WARD, pastor. Mrs. Howard CHEDZOY at the organ played “O rest in the Lord” as the coffin was borne into the Church, and the Dead March in Saul at the close of the service. The Pastor gave a very touching address, and the hymns sung were “Abide with me” and “For all the Saints who from their labours rest.” The interment was at the cemetery, the Pastor officiating. Deceased was laid to rest in a grave which loving hands had lined with evergreens and flowers. The coffin bore the inscription: “George Tolman Adams, Died March 25th, 1931, Aged 63 years.” It was supplied by Mr. WHITE, of Taunton, who also carried out the duties of undertaker. The mourners were: Mrs. ADAMS (widow), Messrs. William, John, Herbert and Stanley ADAMS (sons), Mrs. J. DYER and Miss E. ADAMS (daughters), Mrs. J. ADAMS (daughter-in-law), Mr. Sid DYER (son-in-law), Mrs. CHOWN and Mrs. Ernest ADAMS (sisters-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. Walter MILLER, Messrs. B. ADAMS, B. CHOWN, Misses Florrie, Alice and Beatie ADAMS, Mrs. S. ENGLAND, Miss Lily CHOWN (nephews and nieces), Mr. T. DERHAM (cousin), Mr. W. GARRET (friend) and J. SPILLER. Others at the Church were Messrs. J. STARK, D. BUDGETT, Samuel SALWAY, H. MALE, Sidney MILLER, and a good number of the lady members of the Church, and friends from the village. The bearers were Messrs. Francis and Fred MILLER, E. HOOPER, H. G. CHEDZOY, W. PESTER and J. FOX. There was a large number of wreaths, crosses and sprays from relatives and friends. A memorial service, conducted by the pastor, will be held to-morrow (Sunday) evening at the Baptist Church.
