PILTON
DEATH OF MR. R. T. CREED.
The death occurred on Sunday, of Mr. Robert Thomas CREED, aged 80 years, of Springfield Farm, Kingsdon, Taunton. He was the eldest son of the late Mr. Robert CREED, of East Town Farm, Pilton, where he was well-known, having farmed in the district for 45 years, leaving for Taunton in 1942. Mr. CREED was a member of Shepton Mallet Council for several years. He served in the North Somerset Yeomanry. A well-known sportsman, he had hunted with several packs of hounds and owned several Point-to-Point winners and show jumpers. He leaves three sons and a daughter. The funeral takes place to-day (Thursday) at Pilton Church.
