ACCIDENT. - On Saturday an old man named John MOCKRIDGE, living in Whitehall, was admitted into the Taunton and Somerset Hospital suffering from injuries to his head. How he met with the accident is not clear, but it appears that he was on the railway near the Staplegrove-road bridge when the 3.21 down express passed. It is not considered probable that the engine struck him or his injuries would have been more severe, but it is supposed that he fell in getting out of the way of the train.
