Mrs E S OATEN

After a long illness the death occurred at her home at 8, Wood Street, of Mrs Elizabeth Stella OATEN, age 73, and the high esteem in which she was held by a wide circle of friends was shown by the large attendance at St. James church for the funeral service, on Thursday, interment followed at Taunton Deane Cemetery.

Principal mourners were Mr H. T. OATEN (widower); Miss K. M. OATEN & Mrs B. E. HAWKINS (daughters); Messers H. T. OATEN, S. E. OATEN, E. H. OATEN and C. J. OATEN (sons); Mrs E. WAYGOOD (sister); Mesdames F. SHEPHERD, R. JOHNS & G. SMITH (neices); Mr H OATEN & R WELFARE (brother-in-law & sister-in-law); the Misses P. RADFORD & M. WELLOCK (grand daughters), Mr & Mrs J. SOLWAY (nephew & neice), Mr D. HAWKINS (son-in-law), Mrs L. OATEN (dau-in-law).

The West Somerset co-operative funeral service, 32 Priorswood Road, Taunton (Funeral director Mr. C. HARTNELL) were responsible for the funeral arrangements.

Mr H. T. OATEN & family wish to return very sincere thanks for messages of sympathy & all the beautiful floral tributes sent in their sad bereavement. They would also like to express their most grateful thanks to the doctor for his unfailing attention, also the nurses of Cannon Street for their wonderful kindness, and to the funeral director, Mr. C. HARTNELL, and is staff, for the quiet and sincere manner in which they conducted the funeral.
