DINNINGTON

LATE MR. T. S. BREWER

The funeral took place on Thursday of Mr. Thomas Salter BREWER, who died at his home in Lower-street, Dinnington, at the age of 72. Mr. BREWER had lived in the village for 50 years, having come from Devonshire. Of a retiring, nature he did not take an active part in village affairs. He was, however, much respected for his kindly disposition. He leaves a widow, one son and three daughters.

The Rector (Rev. H. BALLEINE) officiated at the interment in the churchyard. The mourners were:- The widow; Mr J BREWER (son), Mr. and Mrs. C. CHANT, South Petherton (son-in-law and daughter), Misses K. and M. BREWER (daughters), Mrs SAUNDERS, Barnstaple (sister), Mr. H. BREWER, Barnstaple (brother), Mr. and Mrs. W. BREWER, Bath (brother and sister-in-law), Mr. F. BREWER, Barry (brother), Mr. J. JACOBS, Norton (brother-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. J. BROWN, Ilminster (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mr. E. NEWBERRY, Mosterton, and Mr. J. BROWN, Allowenshay (nephews).
Those preceding the Cotrtege <sic> were Messrs. J.H. HUTCHINGS, H. HUTCHINGS, G. TOZER (Pilston), W. DUNNELL (Barrington), W. WHEADON, H. RENDALL, R. G. WARRY (Hinton St. George), H. HOOPER (Hinton St. George), and Mr. H. NEWBERRY (South Petherton). Others who attended included: Mesdames, DUNELL, POMEROY, HUTCHINGS, LARCOMBE, WOODLAND, MATTHEWS and STOODLEY. The bearers were Messrs. F. HAINES, F. HAINES, junr., G. WOODLAND and R. MATTHEWS. Beautiful floral tributes included a wreath from all the parishioners
