SHEPTON BEAUCHAMP

HARVEST THANKSGIVING SERVICES were held at the Parish Church on Sunday. At sung? Mass the Rector (Rev. F. B. TAYLOR) preached. At evensong the preacher was the Rev. F. C. FITCH (vicar of Holy Trinity, Taunton). In the afternoon the children brought gifts of eggs, which were sent, with the other harvest offerings, to Taunton Hospital. Collections throughout the day amounted to £4 10s, and were given to the hospitals.

LATE MRS. SELINA PRIOR. - The death took place on Wednesday, at her home at Buddle, Shepton Beauchamp, of Mrs. Selina PRIOR, aged 79. She had been ill for a long time. The funeral at Shepton on Saturday was conducted by the Rev. F. B. TAYLOR (rector of the parish), and was? choral, the hymns sung being “Rock of? Ages” and “Jesu, Lover of my Soul.” Miss Sybil ROWSWELL was at the organ. The mourners were:- Mrs. Leah ROWSWELL (sister-in-law), Mr. G. ATTWELL (brother), Mr. J. ROWSWELL (brother-in-law), Miss BRIDGE, Ilminster (niece), Miss B. PRIOR and Mr. Newman PRIOR (niece and nephew), Mr. HOOPER and Mrs. TALBOT (friends). The bearers were Messrs. A. POND?, T. CORNELIUS, W. BEALEY, C. JEFFERY, C? Gifford ENGLAND, and T. ENGLAND. There were many floral tributes.
