TAUNTON MAN'S SUDDEN DEATH

COLLAPSE AT BRIDGWATER FACTORY

A Taunton man died suddenly on Thursday while at work in the grounds of the Cellophane factory at Bridgwater. He was Mr. Edward PARKER, aged about 60, of 26, Cheddon-road, an engineer. He was employed by Messrs. MELVILLE, DUNDAS & WHITSUN, the contractors to the British Cellophane Co., and was working in a field adjoining the factory where excavations are being made. At about 2 p.m. he complained of pains in the stomach, and was advised to rest, which he did. Suddenly he became unconscious. Dr. R. COATES, jun., was called, and found PARKER was dead. The body was removed to the Borough Mortuary, and the facts were reported to the Coroner.
