A POPULAR SCHOOLGIRL
DEATH OF MISS PHYLLIS WARE.
Deep sympathy has been expressed with Mr. and Mrs. L. WARE, of 111, St. Augustine-street, Taunton, in the loss they have sustained by the death of their daughter, Phyllis Ethel, who passed away on March 3rd. She was only 14 years of age.
Phyllis had been ill for over three years, and for more than two months she had received specialist treatment in a London hospital. She had attended the St. James' day school and Sunday school, and her natural cheerfulness endeared her to all her associates. Her father is well-known in Taunton sports circles.
FAMILY MOURNERS.
The funeral took place on Monday afternoon. The first part of the service in St. James's Church was conducted by the Vicar, Rev. Walter GREEN, and the last rites at St. Mary's Cemetery were performed by the Rev. A. PHILLIPS (curate).
The mourners were Mr. and Mrs. WARE (parents), Miss Joan WARE (sister), Mrs. J. WARE, Torquay (grandmother), Mr. T. TOTTERDELL, Taunton (grandfather), Mr. and Mrs. A. TOTTERDELL (uncle and aunt), and Mr. Clifford WARE (uncle).
Many friends also attended, and a large number of floral tributes were received.
