MIDDLEZOY

FIRST FOR THREE YEARS

WEDDING OF MR. E. DAVID AND MISS H.I. K. TUCKER

The first wedding at the Parish Church for three years took place on Saturday. Miss Hazel Irene Kate TUCKER, elder daughter of Mr. Charles TUCKER of Southam, Middlezoy, was married to Mr. Edward DAVID, of Cheddon Fitzpaine, Taunton.

For some years the bride has been a popular member of the church choir. She was attired in a two-piece ensemble of crepe-rajah, in hyacinth blue, with beige hat, gloves, and shoes. Her bouquet was of pink carnations, pink gladioli, and white roses. The bridesmaid was her sister, Miss Millie TUCKER, who wore a dress of pink silk taffeta, with muff, pink crinoline hat, and silver shoes. The bride was given away by her father, and Mr. Metford DAVID, cousin of the bridegroom, was “best man.” The Vicar (Rev. J. F. A. THOMAS) performed the ceremony, which was attended by a large number of friends.

The honeymoon is being spent at Caerphilly. Among the presents was a wedding cake, from the bride's cousin (Mr. A. KEIRLE, of London); and an eight-day clock, from the members of the Church Choir.
