MILVERTON BUSINESS MAN
FUNERAL OF MR. ARTHUR FOURACRE
The funeral took place at Milverton Churchyard on Tuesday afternoon of Mr. Arthur FOURACRE, of Fore-street, Milverton. Mr. FOURACRE, who carried on business a timber merchant at Station-road for a number of years, was greatly respected. He was a member of the British Legion, and was at one time a member of the church choir for many years.
The funeral service was conducted by Preb. H. L. MAYNARD, vicar. The coffin, of unpolished oak, with brass fittings, bore the inscription: “Arthur FOURACRE, died March 11th, 1937, aged 64.”
The family mourners were: - Mrs. A. FOURACRE (widow); Mr. Wm. FOURACRE, London, and Mr. V. FOURACRE (brothers); Miss. E. FOURACRE, London (sister); Mrs. V. FOURACRE (sister-in-law); Mr. J. SAUNDERS, Bristol (brother-in-law); Mr. and Mrs. S. FRY, Bristol (sister and brother-in-law); Mr. R. HASLAM, Wellington (cousin); Mr. Frank FOURACRE, Thorne St. Margaret (cousin); Mr. CHAPMAN, Taunton, and Mr. W. BOND, Wellington (friends).
The bearers, employees of the firm, were:- Messrs. R. WYATT, J. WYATT, C. DYKE, B. FREEMANTLE, P. CORNISH, and J. SHARLAND.
