NORTH PETHERTON

FUNERAL OF MRS. BODLEY

The Vicar (Rev. J. ADDY) conducted the funeral on Monday of Mrs. Martha BODLEY, whose death occurred at her home at the age of 81.

The mourners were:- Messrs. T., Joseph, and James BODLEY (sons), Mrs. CRIBB and Mrs. A. BRAMLEY (daughters), Mr. A. BOOBIER (brother), Mr. A. BRAMLEY (son-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. J. ADDICOTT, Misses J. and B. BRAMLEY, and Master R. BRAMLEY (grandchildren).

The bearers were Messrs. S. WILLIAMS, A. WATERJOHNS, J. PARKER, and W. PARKER. There were many choice floral tributes.

REV. C. J. KINNERSLEY'S FAREWELL

Farewell messages were addressed to large congregations at the Congregational Church on Sunday morning and evening by the Rev. C. J. KINNERSLEY, who, after a ministry occupying nearly ten years, has left to take up a pastorate at Wellington.

The Rev. KINNERSLEY spoke of the happy time which Mrs. KINNERSLEY and he had spent in the village. He assured them that those years would never pass from his thoughts, and he appealed to them to continue in unity, and thus add to the strength of the work carried on. Following the evening meeting, a communion service was held.

LATE MR. J. LILLINGTON

The funeral of Mr. James LILLINGTON, who was licensee of the Compass Inn for nearly 25 years, took place on Monday afternoon, the Vicar (Rev. J. ADDY) officiating.

The principal mourners were:- Mrs. J. LILLINGTON (widow), Miss M. LILLINGTON (daughter), Messrs. O., H., and A. ANNETTS (step-sons), Mrs BALCHIN and Miss ANNETTS (step-daughters).

Among others present were Mr. RETALLACK, Mr. J. WARREN, and Mr. C. W. COATE.

The bearers were Messrs. C. W. CLATWORTHY, B. J. CLATWORTHY, A. M. HILL, and D. GARDNER. There were a number of beautiful floral tributes.
