CURRY MALLETT

CYCLIST IN COLLISION. - Miss Laura MATRAVERS, of Higher-road, Curry Mallet, received injuries to the head and back in an accident at Newport Turning on Sunday morning when the pedal cycle she was riding came into collision with a motor-car. She was removed by ambulance to the Taunton and Somerset Hospital, where she is detained.

ENGINEER SUMMONED. - James CHURCHILL engineer, of Broad Close, Curry Mallett, was summoned at Taunton County Sessions on Saturday for failing to exhibit a current road fund licence on a motor-cycle he was driving at North Curry on July 19th. - P.C. DOUGHTY said the licence exhibited on the machine had expired. Defendant told him he had the new licence at his home and had forgotten to place it on the motor-cycle. The summons was dismissed on payment of the costs.
