PITNEY
LATE MR. J. MAYLED

During the day Mr. MAYLED complained of headache, although up to that time he appeared in his normal state of good health. He was taking a rest, when he collapsed, and within an hour or so died, as the result of a stroke. They sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended to the widow and only son (Mr. Joseph MAYLED, of Ilchester) in their sudden bereavement.
The late Mr. MAYLED was a native of South Wales, and was a carpenter and joiner by trade. He served during the Great War, and afterwards came to reside at Pitney, where he was highly respected.
The funeral took place on Saturday, a service at the Parish Church being conducted by the Rector, Rev. S. A. BRUCE. The family mourners were:- Mrs. MAYLED, widow; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph MAYLED (Ilchester), son and daughter-in-law; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. MAYLED (Bournemouth), brother and sister-in-law; Mr. and Mrs. G. RENDLE, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Many other friends also attended to pay their last tribute of respect.
Messrs. F. HAWKINS, P. and G. WALROND, J. PETTY, C. BARTLETT and F. COX were the bearers.
There were many beautiful floral tributes.
