SEAVINGTON

ROAD WIDENING. - Chard Rural Council on Tuesday agreed that the attention of the County Council be called to the urgent need for widening and improving the Ilminster-Ilchester road at Seavington St. Michael, particularly abutting the road junction of Water-street with the main road and the narrow length in the cutting on the Lopen Head side of the parish.

VILLAGE POND. - At the meeting of the Chard Rural District Council on Tuesday the Clerk reported that when at Seavington recently he and the Sanitary Inspector had inspected the pond, when they were informed by local residents that it would be better if the pond were filled in as there was a nasty smell from it at times. - It was agreed that the Seavington St. Michael Parish Meeting be asked to state their views on the matter.
