CATTLE DEALER'S AFFAIRS

The first meeting of the creditors of Basil Culliford Flood SALVIDGE, cattle dealer and dairy farmer, of Othery, near Bridgwater, was held on Thursday at the Official Receiver's Office, Baldwin-street, Bristol.

Mr. E. C. STIMPSON (assistant official receiver) said a statement of affairs had been lodged, showing unsecured liabilities of £1,931 17s 5d and assets of £67 9s. leaving a deficiency of £1,864 8s 5d. There was a sum outstanding for milk cheques and grass keep which would reduce the deficiency to between £1,700 and £1,800.

Mr. STIMPSON said that SALVIDGE attributed his position to heavy haulage charges, market restrictions through disease, and small profits on cattle sales.

The Official Receiver remains trustee.
