MARRIAGE OF MR. E. S. SHELLARD AND MISS L. J. STEAD

Mr. Edmund Scoble SHELLARD, youngest son of the Borough Surveyor of Taunton (Mr. Ivor F. SHELLARD) and Mrs. SHELLARD of Marston, Trull-road, was married at All Saint's Church, Trull, on Saturday afternoon to Miss Laura Joyce STEAD, third daughter of the County Surveyor of Somerset (Lieut.-Colonel E. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a white charmeuse satin gown and long veil with wreath of orange blossom. Her bouquet was of white Harrisii lilies.

Her bridesmaids, Miss Ruth STEAD (her youngest sister), and Miss Rosalind PALMER, Western-super-Mare (a friend), wore picture dresses of ice blue satin with tulle head-dresses, and their hand-set diamante bracelets were gifts from the bridegroom. They carried bouquets of Rubrum lilies tied with tulle to match.

Mr. Reginald MELVILLE-WARNER was the “best man.”

Thirty guests attended a reception at “Orchard Rise,” after which Mr. and Mrs. SHELLARD left for the honeymoon, which is being spent at Selsdon Park, Sanderstead.

The bride travelled in a two-piece suit in London tan, with hat, bag and shoes to match.

The bridegroom gave the bride a fur coat, and received from her a silver cigarette case. They received many wedding gifts.
