WELL-KNOWN REPRESENTATIVE
MARRIAGE OF MR. A. JEANES TO MISS V. M. LANG.
The wedding took place at St. Mary's Church, Taunton, on Thursday of last week, of Mr. Alfred John JEANES, of East Reach, Taunton, youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John JEANES, of Court Farm, Banklands, North Petherton, and Miss Violet Mary LANG, eldest daughter of Mrs. LANG and the late Mr. F. LANG, of Albemarle-road, Taunton.
The Vicar, the Rev. W. H. HEATON-RENSHAW, officiated.
The bridegroom is West of England representative for the Taunton Cider Company, and is well known to the farming community and the licensed trade over a wide area. The bride has lived since childhood with her aunt, Mrs. M. A. LANG, of 90, East Reach, Taunton. For a number of years she was a member of the staff of Messrs. W. & A. CHAPMAN, Ltd., Taunton.
Mr. Herbert KNOTT, F.R.C.O., was the organist.
Given away by Mr. Clifford LANG, the bride wore a blue tailored suit, with hat and shoes to match, and silver fox fur. She carried a spray of pink carnations. Mrs. L. G. WATTS, sister of the bridegroom, who was matron of honour, wore a petrol blue dress with hat to match, and brown suede shoes. The bride's mother wore a black marocain frock.
Mr. Edward COLES was “best man.”
About 70 guests attended a reception at Deller's Cafe.
The honeymoon was spent at Bristol.
