SOMERSET BRIDGE
LATE MR. C. G. PALMER
INNKEEPER 25 YEARS.
The funeral took place at North Petherton on Saturday of Mr Clifford George PALMER, of the Malt and Hops Inn Somerset Bridge, who died in Bridgwater Hospital on the previous Wednesday. Mr. PALMER, who was 58 years of age, had been ill about a month. He had been licensee of the inn for about 25 years, and was very popular in the district. He leaves a widow, one son and two daughters.
The Rev. P. M. TAYLOR (vicar of St. John's, Bridgwater) officiated. The family mourners were Mrs. PALMER (widow), Mr. Lionel PALMER (son), Mrs. L. PALMER (daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. WYATT (son-in-law and daughter), Mrs. MORGAN (sister), Mr. and Mrs. BRIMBLE (brother-in-law and sister), Mr. BROWNSEY (brother-in-law), Mrs. MILLER (sister-in-law), Mr. G. MILLER (brother-in-law), Mr. E. BRIMBLE (nephew) and Mr. R. MILLER (nephew).
Others at the graveside were Messrs. A. BISHOP, W. ELLISON, F. WELLAND, A. HILL, G. GARDENER, W. PERRY, A. BOLWELL, DUDDRIDGE, WALKER, and others.
Messrs. J. E. GILBERT & Son, St. John-street, Bridgwater, were entrusted with the arrangements.
