ISLE ABBOTTS

BRIDE OF MR. C. H. DARE

The wedding took place at the Cannington Congregational Church, of Miss Violet Evelyn LEACH, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LEACH of Blackmore, Cannington, and Mr. Clifford Henry DARE, of Cad Farm, Ilton, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry DARE, of Two Bridges Farm, Isle Abbotts. The Rev. S. R. WARD, of Fivehead, and Pastor W. O. JAMES, of Cannington, officiated.

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Leonard LEACH, of Bath. She wore a gown of blue floral silk ninon and a crinoline hat, and carried a shower bouquet of pink carnations and trailing fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Verdun LEACH, her sister, wore a gown of lemon floral georgette and a gold coronet. The bride's mother wore a dress of navy silk, with navy hat, shoes, gloves, and stockings.

Mr. George DARE, of Ilton, the bridegroom's brother, was “best man.”

A reception was held in the Congregational Church Lecture Hall, where over 40 guests were present. Among the many presents was a clock from the members of the Isle Abbotts Baptist Church.
