TRULL
RESIDENT FOR 50 YEARS
DEATH AND FUNERAL OF MR. ROBERT COLLARD.
The death occurred on Saturday of Mr. Robert COLLARD, at his home Winchester Cottage, Trull, at the age of 82 years. He took to his bed only about ten days before his death. He had lived in Trull for over fifty years, and was much respected. For several years he lived at The Lodge, Batts Park, where he was formerly employed by Mr. J. C. De las CASAS. He leaves a widow, three sons, and one daughter.
The funeral took place in the Trull Churchyard on Wednesday afternoon, the service being conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. M. L. WINTERTON.
The family mourners were Messrs. William, Ted and Walter COLLARD (sons), Mrs. G. FOURACRE (daughter), Mrs. William and Mrs. Walter COLLARD (daughters-in-law), Mr. G. FOURACRE (son-in-law), Mrs. R. ROLLINS (grand-daughter), Mr. Leslie and Mrs. COLLARD (grandchildren), Mr. Frank FOURACRE, Mr. P. COLLARD, Mr. W. FOURACRE (grandsons), Mrs. C. HUMPHRIES (grand-daughter), Mrs. H. BERRYMAN, Mrs. W. WELSH (nieces), Mr. E. HENSON, Mr. L. HENSON (nephews). The widow, Mrs. R. COLLARD, was unable to attend through indisposition among those also present were Mrs. Seymour HEWETT, Mr. B. HEWETT, Mrs. B. SHIRE, Mrs. M. FOURACRE, Mr. and Mrs. W. OAKE, Mrs. W. WYATT, Mrs. De SAVE and others. The following grandsons acted as bearers: Messrs. W. COLLARD, F. FOURACRE, F. ROLLINS, and L. FOURACRE.
There were many floral tributes.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mr. R. J. DOBLE, of Trull.
