FIVEHEAD

THE DEATH has taken place, at the age of 91 years, of the Rev. W. P. IRELAND, who was curate at Fivehead from 1892-94. He collapsed shortly after preaching at a service at Semington, Wilts.


HUISH EPISCOPI

His 100TH WICKET. - Playing against Trull 2nd XI, for Huish Episcopi on Saturday, E. W. TROTT claimed his 100th wicket for the season with his first victim. He went on to take three for 19 during the match. In the present season he has played for Nestles' in several evening matches as well as for the Huish Episcopi Club.


MARRIAGE OF MISS D. LANGRIDGE & Mr. D. SUTER

The wedding took place at St. Mary's Church, on Saturday, of Miss Dorothy Louise Constance LANGRIDGE, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. LANGRIDGE, of Huish Farm, Langport, and Mr. Douglas Frederick SUTER, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. M. SUTER, of Wearne Hollow, Huish Episcopi. The bridge is a member of the church choir and also deputy organist. Both the bride and bridegroom are bellringers. The Vicar (Rev. T. O. A. SELLICK) officiated.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a navy blue marocain coat, blue flowered dress, navy hat, shoes and veil. She carried a bouquet of carnations and fern. The “best man” was Mr. W. SUTER, brother of the bridegroom.

Mr. and Mrs. SUTER received a large number of useful presents, including a Westminster chiming clock from the directors and staff of Messrs. KELWAY & Son. Ltd., by whom the bridegroom is employed, a tea set and cake stand from the Vicar, organist and members of the choir of St. Mary's Church, and a lemonade set from the ringers.
