CENTENARIAN'S FUNERAL

LATE MISS JULIA CASS

The funeral of Miss Julia CASS, of 5, Alexandra-road, whose death at the great age of 104 years was reported last week, took place at the Wembdon-road Cemetery on Saturday. The Rev. H. R. GUEST, of St. Mary's Church, conducted the service.

The coffin, containing the remains was interred in the family grave in which Miss CASS's parents were buried. The breastplate on the coffin bore the inscription “Julia CASS, died December 21st, 1939, aged 104 years.” The gravestone records that Miss CASS's father died in 1905 at the age of 92 years.

There were five male mourners, and several floral tributes were sent.

The mourners were – Messrs. A. G. ASHILL, F. HOLLEY, P.O. ALEXANDER, K. BILTON and P.G.S. GILLARD.
