SHEPTON BEAUCHAMP
FUNERAL OF MRS. FRANK MEAD
The funeral took place on Tuesday, at the Parish Church, of Mrs. Agnes Mabel MEAD, of 1, Stankley View, Shepton Beauchamp. Aged 53, she was keenly interested in the life of the parish. She was a member of the Mothers' Union. The Rector, the Rev. F. B. TAYLOR, officiated at the choral service and Miss Sybil ROUSWELL was at the organ.
Family mourners were:- Mr. F. MEAD (husband); Mr and Mrs. H. CLEAL, Yeovil (son-in-law and daughter); Mr. and Mrs. Basil MEAD, Yeovil (son and daughter-in-law); Muriel (daughter); Mrs. W. WELCH and Miss D. WELCH (sister and niece); Mr. and Mrs. Philip BEST, Miss M. A. ENGLAND and Mrs. W. ENGLAND (uncle and aunts); Mr. and Mrs. G. MEAD, Westport, and Mr. and Mrs. G. COLES, Wiveliscombe (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), and Mr. and Mrs. H. MEAD, Barrington (nephew and niece), Messrs. W. ENGLAND (uncle), and F. MEAD, Barrington (brother-in-law) were unable to attend.
The Mothers' Union was represented by Mrs. TAYLOR (enrolling member), Mrs. C. BEST, Mrs. M. WELCH, Mrs. C. HAWKINS, Mrs. HOLMAN, Mrs. SALISBURY, Mrs. C. POND, Mrs. J. GUMMER, Mrs. J. HAWKINS, Mrs. H. HARRIS, Mrs. T. ROWSWELL, Mrs. C. TALBOT, and Mrs. MARKS. Others who attended to pay their last tribute were Miss E. INDER, Mrs. HARDWICK, Mrs. E. SCOTT, Mrs. d'ARCY, Mrs W. HARRIS, and other friends.
The bearers were four neighbours, Messrs. Harold NEWIS, Tom WELCH, George CORNELIUS, and Joseph BEST.
The many floral tributes included a cross from members of the Shepton Beauchamp Mothers' Union.
Mr. MEAD and family wish to thank friends for kind expressions and letters of sympathy in their sad bereavement, and also for the beautiful floral tributes.
