NORTON FITZWARREN

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE – The annual New Year's party was held on Friday at the Village Club. The President (Mrs. BARTON) presided over an attendance of 50 members and friends. Tea was served by the Committee, after which games, competitions and dancing were enjoyed.

SCRIPTURE UNION PARTY. - On Thursday afternoon a party of about 90, including evacuees and the Rev. and Mrs. H. S. BUNNY, Miss EVANS, Miss SCHOFIELD and Miss HORTON, met at the Village Club. Games and other amusements were enjoyed. A splendid tea had been provided and the members of the Mothers' Union, Mrs. COLES, Mrs. F. WAYGOOD and Mrs. J. PORTER, senr., assisted in the serving. Scripture Union prizes for good attendance were presented by Miss EVANS.
