FUNERAL OF MRS. M. J. PARKHOUSE

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Jane PARKHOUSE, of St. Kilda, 6, Winchester-street, Taunton, widow of Mr. John PARKHOUSE, took place on Monday afternoon. Mrs. PARKHOUSE who was a native of Hatherleigh, was married at Chard 57 years ago. Her husband died 2½ years ago. For many years she had been a regular worshipper at the Octogan <sic> Chapel and a member of the Bible Class.

The service at the chapel, which included the hymns “He leadeth me” and “Ten Thousand Times,” was conducted by Mr. Arthur HATCHER, assisted by Mr. C DARCH, whilst the committal in St. Mary's Cemetery was conducted by Mr. C. R. LONG. Mr. HATCHER, in the course of a short address, paid tribute to the understanding sympathy and willing help which Mrs. PARKHOUSE was always ready to give.

The family mourners were:- Mr. W. J. PARKHOUSE, Northlew (son); Mrs. H. SHUTE, Penarth (daughter); Mr. and Mrs. C. J. LEE, Salisbury (son-in-law and daughter); Mr. and Mrs. L. PATTERSON, Cardiff (son-in-law and daughter); Mr. and Mrs. W. J. PARKHOUSE (son and daughter-in-law); Miss PARKHOUSE, Canterbury (daughter); Mr. and Mrs. S. PARKHOUSE (son and daughter-in-law); Mr. and Mrs. G. PARKHOUSE, Weymouth, (son and daughter-in-law); Mrs. W. MOYSE, Exeter (sister-in-law); Mrs. THOMPSON (niece); Mr. W. BULLEY, Mrs. BISHOP, and Mr. C. BISHOP, Creech St. Michael (friends).

Amongst those present at the chapel or at the graveside were Mrs. Arthur HATCHER, Mrs. W. BULLEY, Mrs. CHANNON, Mrs. ALBROW, Mrs. SLADE, Miss E. CHANNING, Mrs. MARKS, Mrs. GIBBS, Mr. E. WINTER, Mr FLETCHER, and members of the Bible Class.

There were no flowers by request.
