ILTON
WEDDING AT ST. PETER'S
MR. J. G. PAUL AND MISS S. THRESHER.
At St Peter's Church, Ilton, on Saturday week, the wedding took place of Miss Sylvia Grace THRESHER, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. THRESHER, of Ilton, to Mr. Joseph George PAUL, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. PAUL, of the Post-office, Curry Mallet. The service was conducted by the Rev. J. ROGERS (Ilton) and the Rev. H. C. TUTTON (Curry Mallet), and the hymns “O Perfect Love” and “Lead us, Heavenly Father, lead us.,” were sung, with Mr C. JONES at the organ.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a dress of white printed satin, with veil, and a head-dress of Madonna lilies, and carried a bouquet of red carnations.
Miss A. and Miss M. PAUL and Miss E. RICKARD were bridesmaids, in blue and pink taffeta dresses, with bouquets of white and pink carnations. Mr. Bertie ADAMS was “best man.”
A reception at the Wyndham Arms was attended by 40 guests, and afterwards the bride and bridegroom left for Yeovil, the bride travelling in a dress of powder blue art silk crepe.
