DEATH OF MR. C. MALE

The death occurred on Friday of Mr. Charles MALE, of 51, East-Street, aged 81. He was born at Barrington and was for many years drummer in the Barrington Band. At one time he resided at Chaffcombe, where he was a bellringer, and he was also a bellringer at Whitelackington.

The funeral took place at Whitelackington Churchyard on Tuesday, the Rev. John L. LESLIE (assistant-priest) officiating. Mourners were Mrs. H. ROWLANDS (daughter), Mr. T. MALE (Barrington, brother), Mr. T. MALE (Barrington, brother), Mr. and Mrs. F. WEBBER (Taunton, brother-in-law and sister), his two nieces from Shepton Beauchamp, and Mrs. W. MALE (sister-in-law) representing his brother Mr. W. MALE. The wife was unable to attend owing to illness. Mrs. SANDY, Mrs. BROOMFIELD, and many friends were also present. There was a number of floral tributes.
