WEDDING AT THE PARISH CHURCH

CHORLEY – HARTLAND

The marriage was solemnised at the Parish Church on Saturday of Lance-Corporal Albert Henry CHORLEY, of the R.A.S.C., third son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. CHORLEY, of “White's Corner,” Curry Rivel, and Miss Barbara May HARTLAND, second daughter of Mr and Mrs. A. HARTLAND, of Dyer's Hole, Curry Rivel. Rev. J. H. T. MAUDE-ROXBY (vicar) officated.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a white satin dress, with veil, and carried a bouquet of white carnations. She was attended by Mrs. Leonard LOCK as matron-of-honour, who wore a dress of pink satin and carried a bouquet of pink carnations.

The “best man” was Mr. F. CHORLEY (brother of the bridegroom). A reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents, when over 50 guests were entertained. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of many presents.
