TWO WIVELISCOMBE WEDDINGS

R.A.F. BRIDEGROOMS

The wedding of Mr. G. J. SAFFIN, R.A.F., youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry SAFFIN of Worthgate, Wiveliscombe, and Miss Grace SWEETLAND, of Sand-street, Milverton, took place at the Parish Church, Wiveliscombe, on Sunday morning. The Vicar, the Rev. E. A. AUST, officiated.

The bride wore a grey costume, with a wine-coloured hat and accessories, and carried a Prayer-book and spray of white carnations. She was given away by her grandfather, Mr. SWEETLAND.

The “best man” was Mr. E. E. SAFFIN, brother of the bridegroom.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride's home at Milverton, where Mr and Mrs. SAFFIN received the good wishes of their relatives and many friends. Later they left for Doncaster, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride travelled in a blue coat, with wine-coloured accessories.

Among the many presents was a canteen of cutlery from the management and staff of the Wellington and District Electric Company, by whom both the bride and bridegroom were employed before Mr. SAFFIN joined the R.A.F.
