“TRYING TO MAKE UP TIME”
At Ilminster Petty Sessions on Thursday Sidney Ernest Suvla TEMLETT, 1, Old-road, North Petherton, was fined £2 for driving a motor-lorry at over 30 miles an hour and his licence was endorsed. P.C. HYETT (mobile officer) said defendant's speed for three-fifths of a mile through Rapps-lane towards Ilton varied from 38 to 40 miles an hour. Defendant told him, “I was trying to make up time, as I was late.”
