DEATH OF MRS. GRACE THYER

FORMER FOREWOMAN AT A COLLAR FACTORY.

The death occurred on Friday (March 10th) of Mrs. Grace Louisa THYER, at her home at No. 27, Leycroft Grove. Mrs. THYER, who was 71, was the widow of Mr. Henry THYER, who died 15 years ago. Mr. THYER, a harnessmaker, will be remembered by many. In her younger days Mrs.THYER was a forewoman at Messrs. Cook's Collar Factory in Paul-Street, and later was employed at Van Heusen's Factory, where she had many friends. She leaves one son, Lance-Corpl. H. O. THYER, A.A.C., now in India.

The funeral took place on Tuesday, the first part of the service being held in Holy Trinity Church, and was conducted by the Rev. - HARVEY, who also officiated at the graveside at St. Mary's Cemetery. The mourners were: Mrs. H. THYER (daughter-in-aw) <sic>, Mr. H. THYER (grandson), Mrs. PERRY (sister), Miss G. PERRY (niece), Mrs. HOLLEY and Mrs. M. BLAKE (friends).

There were a number of floral tributes.

Mr. Leonard E. SMITH, of Haydon-road, was the undertaker.
