STATHE

LATE MR. BENJAMIN HECTOR

The death occurred on Monday of Mr. Benjamin HECTOR (76), of Stoke Orchard. He was a withy, hay, and chaff merchant, and had carried on business in the village for a long period. For a number of years he was chairman of the West Sedgemoor Drainage Board, a member of the Somerset Drainage Commissioners, and, as it later was reconstituted, of the Somerset Rivers Catchment Board. Mr. HECTOR's wife died last January. He leaves four sons and three daughters

The funeral took place yesterday (Friday) at Stoke St. Gregory, a service being held at the Baptist Church.
