CURRY MALLET

MARRIED IN LANCASHIRE

The wedding took place on Saturday at All Saints' Church, Preston, Lancs., of Miss Ruth MILLER, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Edwin MILLER, of “La-Casita.” Cadley Causeway, Fulwood, Preston, and Stanley John (Jack) BAWLER, Somerset Light Infantry, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert James BAWLER, Fieldgate, Curry Mallet. The ceremony was performed by the Vicar (Rev Wm. LEATHEM), and Miss Marjorie WOODEN (cousin of the bride's mother) was at the organ. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a gown of white lace and georgette, with veil and orange blossom, and carried mauve tulips. She was attended by Miss Lily MILLER (her sister), who was in a gown of blue crepe-de-chine, with head-dress to tone, and carried a posy of anemones, and Grace SKINNER (little friend of the bridegroom), who wore pink crepe-de-chine with head-dress to tone. The “best man was Mr. Philip BAWLER (brother of the bridegroom). A reception was held at the bride's home, and the couple left for Somerset for the honeymoon.
