TAUNTON WEDDING

MR. G. MANUEL AND MISS DOROTHY WINTER

Leading Air Mechanic George MANUEL, R.A.F., second son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. MANUEL, of “Marcil,” Priory Bridge-road, Taunton, and Miss Dorothy WINTER, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. WINTER, of 98, East Reach, Taunton were married at Holy Trinity Church, Taunton, on Saturday. The Rev. G. F. GROVE officiated and Mr. H. W. CULVERWELL, at the organ, played “The Bridal Chorus” (Lohengrin), by Wagner, and Mendelssohn's “Wedding March.”

The bride was given away by her father and wore an oyster satin gown, with train, hand-embroidered veil, held in place with silver shoes, a Juliet cap of silver sequins, and she carried a shower bouquet of dark red carnations. The matron-of-honour was the bride's sister, Mrs. I. V. MANLEY, who wore an ankle-length gown of maroon velvet, a gold sequin Juliet cap, gold shoes, and carried bronze chrysanthemums. The bridegroom's nephew, Master T. MANUEL, acted as page, and was dressed in long trousers and bolero of maroon velvet, with a white silk blouse and shoes.

Mr. R. MANUEL (bridegroom's brother) was best man.

The reception was held at St. Margaret's, Hamilton-road. Numerous presents were received, including cheques. Corpl. J. MANLEY (brother-in-law), in S.E.A.C., and Sergt. J. MANUEL (brother of the bridegroom) sent telegrams of congratulation.
