Messes.
C. R. Morris, Sons & Peard held a successful sale of agricultural
property at the Morris Memorial Hall, North Curry, on Monday. There
was a good attendance, and keen competition for all lots, all of
which were sold.
The various lots and purchasers were as
follows:- Rock Hill Farm, buildings, and 6 acres, to Mr. HURFORD for
£1,650; arable land of 5½ acres, to Mr. DOBLE for £240;
arable land, 8 acres, to Mr. G. BAKER tor £390; arable land, 3
acres, to Mr. J. LANE for £130; pasture land of 3r. 27p., to
Mr. J. BROWN for £50; meadow land, 5¼? Acres, to Mr. G.
EDWARDS for £415; arable land, 1¼? acres to Mr. H.
WHITTLE for £70; meadow land, 2r. 39p., to Mr. G. BAKER for
£65; pasture land, 6¾? acres, to Mr. PIPE for £102
10s; pasture land, 4¼? acres, to Mr. D. WEMBRIDGE for £115;
meadow land, 3¼? acres, to Mr. C. DENMAN for £275;
meadow land, about 2 acres, to Mr. W. BARRINGTON for £100;
arable land, about ¼? acre, to Mr. J. CHORLEY for £75;
arable land, 5½? acres, to Mr. W. BARRINGTON for £450;
meadow land, 2½ acres, to Mr. G. SELLICK for £200;
willow bed at Stoke St. Gregory, 2r. 30p. to Mr. T. W. PATTEN for
£50; meadow land about 6¼? acres, to Mr. T. W. PATTEN
for £750
Also at North Curry, the property of the late Mrs.
PERRY; Meadow with cowstall, buildings and orchard, about 1½
acres, to Mr. R. HECTOR for £300; meadow land, 3¼?
acres, to Mr. R. HECTOR for £450; arable land, about 2 acres,
to Mr. H. NORMAN for £225; Pasture land, 3¼? acres, to
Mr. W. BARRINGTON for £210.
At North Curry, the property of
the late Mr. H. H. NORMAN: Small holding, “Greenway Farm,"
with dwelling-house, farm buildings, and meadow, orchard, and arable
land, 20a. 1r. 26p., let to Mr. W. R. DUKE, was knocked down for
£2,050; orchard and arable land at Helland. about 4 acres,
occupied by Mr. T. E. DUKE, was sold to Mrs. BRYER for £325.
The solicitors for the vendors were Messrs. G. H. Kite & sons, Taunton.
