TENDERS

BOROUGH OF TAUNTON

DEMOLITION WORKS: KING STREET

TENDERS are invited for the demolition of 45 Cottages, a Public House and various outbuildings, site clearance, &c., on an area bounded by Duke Street, Tancred Street and King Street.

Particulars and tender forms obtainable from the Borough Housing Architect, Flook House, Station Road, Taunton, by 3rd October, 1956, on payment of a deposit of £1 1s which will be refunded upon the receipt of a bona fide tender.

Tenders must be sent to me not later than 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 23rd October, 1956.

TAUNTON RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL

Nos. 1 to 4, HOMEFIELD COTTAGES, STOKE ST MARY

TENDERS are invited for the conversion of Earth Closets into Water Closets, together with the necessary drainage, the construction of a small sewage disposal plant, and ancillary works, at the above Council Houses.

Plans, Specifications and Form of Tender, may be obtained from the Surveyor, Mary Street House, Taunton.

Tenders in plain sealed envelopes endorsed “Tender – Homefield Cottages” must be delivered to the undersigned not later than 12 noon on Wednesday, 3rd October, 1956.

The Council does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS are invited for the supply of the undermentioned Goods and Materials for a period of One Year commencing on the 1st January, 1957:-

(a) Bricks, Cement, Concrete Goods.

(b) Brooms, Brushes, Handles, Mops.

(c) Coal and Coke.

(d) Electrical Goods.

(e) Galvanised Pipes and Fittings.

(f) Ironmongery.

(g) Paints, Distemper, Glass, &c.

(h) Road and Sewer Materials.

(i) Soap and Cotton Waste.

(j) Timber, Masonite and Wallboard.

Forms of Tender for each Schedule mentioned above with Conditions to be observed, can be obtained from the Town Clerk, Municipal Buildings, Taunton, to whom Tenders, on the prescribed form, enclosed in a plain sealed envelope endorsed as requested on each form of Tender, must be sent so as to be received not later than 10 a.m. on 22nd October, 1956.
