LEGION SALE

Curry Rivel and Drayton British Legion, women's section, held a successful garden sale at Eastleigh on Saturday by the kind permission of Miss VEREKER. Mrs. J. H. MAUDE-ROXBY (president of the section) opened the sale and expressed thanks to Miss VEREKER for the use of her spacious grounds. A display of children's Morris dancing was given and two competitions were won by Mrs. Dudley HUNT and Miss STERRY. The sum of £56 12s 6d was realised and Legion members are grateful to all who contributed in any way.

LATE MRS. M. CHORLEY

The death occurred at her home at White's Corner of Mrs. Minnie CHORLEY, wife of Mr. Frank CHORLEY. She was 67.

The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. J. H. MAUDE ROXBY. Family mourners were: Mr. F. CHORLEY (husband), Mrs. A. IVEY (daughter, also representing Mr. A. IVEY, son-in-law), Miss Molly CHORLEY (daughter), Mr. W. CHORLEY, Mr. and Mrs. J. CHORLEY, Mr. and Mrs. H. CHORLEY, Mr. F. CHORLEY (also representing Mrs. F. CHORLEY), Mr. and Mrs. R. CHORLEY (sons and daughters-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. H. ADAMS (brother and sister-in-law), Mr. T. CHORLEY, Mr. and Mrs. H. CHORLEY (brothers-in-law and sister-in-law), Mrs. C. LANGFORD (sister-in-law), Mr. J. DENNETT, Mrs. L. DENNETT and Mrs. G. DENNETT (also representing Mr. L. DENNETT and Mr. G. DENNETT, brothers-in-law), Mr. A. CHORLEY (nephews and nieces), Mrs. K. ADAMS (cousin), Mrs. N. ANDREWS (also representing Mr. J. ANDREWS), Mr. J. IVEY, Mrs. A. HILL, Mr. P. IVEY, Miss Y. IVEY (grandchildren).

Also present were Mr. E. J. LOCK, Mr. and Mrs. W. LOCK, Mr. and Mrs. W. JACKSON (also representing Mr. and Mrs. W. JACKSON, sen.), Mrs. H. SALWAY, Miss H. COUSINS, Mrs. HARTLAND, Mrs. R. LOCK, Miss E. OSMOND, Mrs T. MALE, Mrs. C. BUNSTON, Mrs. BAGGS, Mr. and Mrs. M. BARTLETT, Mr. K. CROCKER and Mr. B. BATTY.

Mr. CHORLEY and family wish to thank the doctor, Nurse MILNES and Nurse BARTLETT for their kind attention during Mrs. CHORLEY's illness, also neighbours and friends for their messages of sympathy.

Funeral arrangements were by Messrs. GILL, Bridge-street, Taunton.
