CAKE COMPETITION
Mrs. GUNNINGHAM, vice-president, presided at the meeting of the Women's Institute. Mrs. BOND (a member) at short notice gave an instructive talk on contemporary furniture and furnishings, illustrated by photographs and specimens. She answered questions and was thanked by Mrs. COURT.
Mrs. POPE judged the cake competition. Results:- 1, Mrs. W. CLATWORTHY; 2, Mrs. F. MILLER; 3, Mrs. BARTLETT.
The social half-hour was in the form of a team game and provided much amusement. It was organised by Mrs. COLES.
