Death and Funeral of Mr. W. W. WILKINS

Mr. William Walter WILKINS (56), of 94, Lyngford Square, Taunton, died in the Taunton and Somerset Hospital on Wednesday of last week. He leaves a wife and two daughters. He was the oldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. F. WILKINS, of William-street, Taunton. For the past nine years he was on the maintenance staff of the D.C.R.E. for Somerset and Gloucester.

The Rev. Vincent BATES conducted the funeral service at the Rowbarton Methodist Church on Tuesday. Mr. A. WOOLMINGTON was the organist.

The mourners were: Mrs. E. F. WILKINS (wife), Mr. and Mrs. E. BEAUMONT (son-in-law and daughter), Mr. and Mrs. M. SEARLE (son-in-law and daughter), Mr. and Mrs. E. WILKINS (brother and sister-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. G. F. WILKINS (brother and sister-in-law), Mrs. A. WEST and Mrs. H. PLUMRIDGE (sisters-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. F. PRIDDLE (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mr. C. WILKINS, Mr. M. WILKINS, Mr. J. WEST, Mr. M. PRIDDLE, Mr. R. PRIDDLE (nephews), Mrs. F. BURT and Mrs. HARVEY (nieces), Mrs. W. J. HEADFORD (cousin).

Mr. G. V. ROGERS and Mr. F. C. BROWN represented C.R.E. Office at Sherford; Mr. T. S. COLLINSON, Mr. H. READER and Warrant Officer WELSTED represented the R.E. Yard of the S.L.I. Barracks.

Other friends who attended the service were: Mrs. SEARLE, Mrs. WADHAM, Mrs. TRENCHARD and Mr. REX.

There was a large number of floral tributes.

The funeral arrangements were by Mr. Leonard E. SMITH, of Haydon-road, Taunton.
