Bridegroom from Fivehead
Ceremony at Curry Rivel
The wedding took place at St. Andrew's, Curry Rivel, on Saturday, of Mr. A. S. BURGE, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. BURGE, of Fivehead, and Miss Jean Elizabeth PEARCEY, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. PEARCEY, Lower Wiltown, Curry Rivel. The Rev. J. H. MAUDE-ROXBY officiated and Miss NEWICK was the organist.
Given away by her father, the bride wore ivory brocade, with an embroidered net veil and coronet of pearls. She carried a Prayer Book with bookmark and spray of heather. Miss Brenda PEARCEY (niece of the bride), was the bridesmaid, wearing blue brocade with a blue headdress and carrying lemon carnations. Best man was Mr. T. BURGE.
A reception at the Sewers Halls was attended by 45 guests. The honeymoon is being spent at Plymouth, the bride's going-away dress being a lime green costume with tan accessories. Touches were rung on the bells during the afternoon.
