North Curry Funeral
Mrs. Emily House
Mrs. Emily Hannah HOUSE, aged 81, died at her home, 28, Stoke Road, North Curry, on Tuesday week. She was the widow of Mr. Roland House of Turkey, Stoke St Gregory.
She had been a regular worshipper at North Curry Methodist Church and a member of the Women's Bright Hour.
The funeral service at the Chapel on Friday afternoon was conducted by the Rev. Eric BUTLER, of the Temple Methodist Church, Taunton. Mrs. A. A. NEWIS was the organist. Cremation followed at Arno's Vale, Bristol.
The mourners were: Mr. Stanley DERHAM (brother), Mrs. F. DUKE (sister), Mr. and Mrs. Maurice DERHAM, Mr. Martin DERHAM, Mr. and Mrs. H. DERHAM, Miss F. DERHAM, Miss Joyce DERHAM, Mrs. G. F. LIGHT (also representing Mr. LIGHT) and Mrs. C. DAVIES (nephews and nieces), Mr. Tom BREWER, Mr. William BREWER, Mrs. A. W. MAY (also representing Mr. MAY), Mrs. S. W. MOORE (also representing Mr. MOORE) and Mrs. F. DERHAM (cousins), Mrs. E. VERRIER, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. BUCKNELL, Mrs. L. LANE, Miss LUMSDEN, Mr. H. T. HARDING, Mrs. S. SLADE, Miss S. FOSTER, Mrs. F. R. DARE (also representing Mrs. A. M. DARE), Mrs. W. S. PALMER, Mrs. M. ELSBURY and Miss VICKERY (representing the Women's Bright Hour, friends).
The following were unable to attend: Mesdames S. DERHAM and G. DERHAM, Ham (sisters-in-law), Mr. L. DERHAM, Mr. R. DERHAM, Mr. S. DERHAM and Mr. D. DUKE (nephews).
The funeral arrangements were by Mr. Leonard E. SMITH, of Haydon Road, Taunton.
