Former Butcher in Taunton District
Formerly a butcher in the Taunton district, Mr. James THOMAS, who in recent years lived with a married daughter at South View Farm, Crickham, Wedmore, died in Weston-super-Mare General Hospital, aged 88.
Second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James THOMAS, Halsend Farm, Halse, Mr. THOMAS will be remembered at Kingston St. Mary, West Monkton and at Taunton Market.
The funeral service at West Monkton Parish Church was conducted by the Rev. M. E. ROYNON, and Miss CHAPLIN was organist.
Family mourners were Mr. and Mrs. C. W. BOBBETT and Mr. and Mrs. W. T. HECTOR (sons-in-law and daughters), Mr. and Mrs. E. J. THOMAS (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. Kennth HECTOR, Mr. and Mrs. John CARD (grandchildren), Mrs. A. THOMAS (sister-in-law), Mr. W. THOMAS, Mr. and Mrs. W. TURNER, Miss L. THOMAS, Mrs. J. SUMMERS, Miss M. THOMAS, Miss F. FOURACRE, Mr. E. FOURACRE, Mr. L. FOURACRE, Mrs. P. CAREY (nephews and nieces).
Friends present included Mr. J. DEACON, Mrs. E. PARKER, Miss D. CARVER, Mr. K. CHURCHES, Mr. S. G. GILLARD, and many others.
