Bambi's 'Wedding' Postponed

Press photographers went to Hatch Court, near Taunton, on Wednesday afternoon to take pictures of a 'wedding' which has had to be postponed.

When Bambi, a young white stag, escaped recently from the Marquess of Bath's estate at Longleat and was recaptured at Horningsham, the incident received national publicity. As a result, Lord Bath was told that at Hatch Court, the estate of Mrs. HAMILTON-GAULT, there was a white doe, Penelope which was lonely with no mate of her own colour. Lord Bath agreed to let Bambi join her.

Bambi was to have arrived at his new home on Wednesday, but was unable to make the journey because he has hurt a leg. So the 'wedding' has been put off for a fortnight.
