Curry Mallet funeral

The funeral service for Mr. Joseph Francis Douglas HUBBARD, Morrells, Curry Mallet, took place at Curry Mallet Church on Wednesday.

Mr. HUBBARD, who was 66, had lived at Morrells for 27 years. When his wife died, 18 years ago, he gave up working as a basket-maker to bring up his four sons and tend his smallholding.

The Vicar of Curry Mallett (the Rev. REES-JONES) conducted the service and Mrs. E. M. REES-JONES was at the organ.

Mourners were:- Mr. J. P. HUBBARD, Mr. W. C. HUBBARD, Mr. A. R. HUBBARD and Mr. C. HUBBARD (sons), Mr. and Mrs. W. HUBBARD (brother and sister-in-law), Mrs. C. HUBBARD (also representing Mr. C. HUBBARD), Mr. J. HUBBARD and Mrs. C. PESTER, Mrs. JACKSON and Mrs. BUNSTON (nephews and nieces), and Mr. H. LOCK (also representing Mrs. LOCK).

Mr. J. HUBBARD and his brothers wish to thank their many friends and neighbours for the floral tributes and messages of sympathy received in their bereavement.

Funeral arrangements were by Mr. Leonard E. SMITH, of Haydon Road, Taunton.
