Death of Miss E. L. WHITTLE

Funeral at North Curry

Miss Ethel Lockyer WHITTLE died at her home, Ludwells Farm, Wrantage, on 4th January. She was aged 80.

For many years she was a regular worshipper at North Curry Church and throughout her long life she enjoyed doing good for other people.

Miss WHITTLE came from an old North Curry family. Her parents farmed at Sunny Farm, Lillesdon, for many years.

The funeral service at North Curry Church on Saturday afternoon was conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. G. T. ROGERS, Mr. MASON was the organist.

The mourners were: Mr. G. WHITTLE, Mr. and Mrs. R. LANE, also representing Mr. W. R. WHITTLE, Mr. L. W. TOTTERDELL, also representing Mrs. TOTTERDELL, Mr. and Mrs. J. LANE, Mr. and Mrs. J. BRITTEN, Mr. J. C. TOTTERDELL, also representing Mr. TOTTERDELL, senior.

Mr. H. H. WHITTLE, Mr. O. WHITTLE, Miss M. WHITTLE and Mr. and Mrs. H. WHITTLE (cousins), also representing Mr. Jack WHITTLE, Mrs. D. J. VENN, also representing Mr. VENN (cousins), Mr. and Mrs. R. G. WHITTLE, also representing Mr. and Mrs. P. ASHFORD (cousins), Mr. R. JEANES (nephew), Miss O. JEANES (niece), also representing Miss A. L. JEANES, Mrs. A. JEANES, also representing Mr. A. JEANES.

Amongst the general attendance were Mrs. W. D. COATE, also representing Mr. COATE and Mrs. R. DUNELL, Mr. G. A. BOWEY, who represented employees at the farm, Mrs. E. STEWART, Mrs. E. E. FOSTER, also representing the FOSTER family, Mr. Stanley DERHAM (Vicar's warden), Mr. R. GARWELL and many others.

The funeral arrangements were by Mr. Leonard E. SMITH, of Haydon Road, Taunton.
