Local Resident's Funeral

Well-Known Hambridge Woman

The funeral took place at Hambridge Parish Church on Monday of Mrs. Ellen LANGFORD, who died aged 81, at her home, The Bungalow, Hambridge, the previous Thursday.

A native of Minsterworth, Gloucester, she was the wife of Mr. Herbert LANGFORD, and was well known in the Hambridge and Curry Rivel district where she had resided for many years. She was a member of the Curry Rivel Mother's Union and a former member of the Hambridge and Westport Women's Institute.

The service was conducted by the Rev. R. C. T. WALLIS and the grave was lined with flowers.

Family mourners were:- Mr. Herbert LANGFORD (husband), Mr. and Mrs. T. SMART, Mr. and Mrs. N. ALFORD, Mr. and Mrs. Vere ALFORD (sons-in-law and daughters, Mr. Jack LANGFORD, Mr. Bill LANGFORD and Mr. Fred LANGFORD (brothers-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. C. LANGFORD, Mr. and Mrs. Charles LANGFORD, Mr. Clifford LANGFORD, Mrs. Mabel WHIT-MAN, Mrs. Ethel LEACH, Miss Annie SARGENT, Mr. Syd BENNETT, Mr. Dilk JENKINS (nephews and nieces).

Mrs. Louisa ALFORD, Mrs. Bessie HARRIS, Mrs. STODGELL, Mrs. Elsie DINHAM (also representing Messrs. Stanley and Charles DINHAM), Mrs. Joan DINHAM (also representing Mr. Jack DINHAM), Mr. and Mrs. Clifford REED, Mr. and Mrs. Jack REED, Mrs. Beat SERMON, Mr. Lewis BOOBYER, Miss B. GULLIDGE (friends).

Mrs. GILLETT (sister) and Mesdames Eva LANGFORD, Kate LANGFORD and Nell LANGFORD (sisters-in-law) were unable to attend.
